USTA JTT Registration & FAQ

WHAT ARE THE ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES? 
Junior Team Tennis is a Team Event and in the Spring the winners of each local (Charlotte) division are eligible for advancement to the North Carolina State Tournament. Further advancement to Sectionals and Nationals are only available for “advancing” teams which have additional team requirements in order to classify as “advancing”. There is no State Championship for the fall season.

WHAT IS THE COST OF JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS? 
No fee for the USTA Junior Membership. $22 – for the local “league fee”. $3 TennisLink fee. FERSC $25 membership fee for JTT $35 non-member JTT fee.
$25 for FERSC members or $35 for non-members club administration fee per player for team supplies and celebrations.

WHEN ARE TEAM PRACTICES?
Players on the team are encouraged to come to weekday clinics. For more information on Junior Team Tennis, please contact Tom Maynor at tcmaynor@gmail.com

WHEN IS THE SEASON? 
The season is from March 21st - End of May. Teams play every Sunday at either 1:00, 2:00, or 3:00, depending on the division. Typically, there are 7-9 matches in a season. The matches are held at FERSC and other clubs around Charlotte. Your son/daughter may not play every Sunday, depending on the size of the team. Each match consists of 3 singles and 1 doubles match. A minimum of 7 players is required per team.

WHAT ARE THE AGE REQUIREMENTS? 
Your child must remain at the age of the division throughout the season.
